Running the Clowne Half Marathon for Jamie’s Pride 💙

This November, I’ll be running the Clowne Half Marathon alongside my good friend, student, and fellow Wakefield mother, Lisa.

As many of you know, tragedy struck last year when we lost Lisa’s child — who was also one of my students. It was heartbreaking, and I’ve been wanting to do something meaningful ever since.

Now, here’s the thing: I really hate running. But that’s exactly why I’m doing this. I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and raise money for a cause that truly matters.

Together, Lisa and I are taking on this challenge to support Jamie’s Pride, a charity we’re building in Jamie’s memory. It’s something we hope will grow into a source of strength and support for the community around Netherton  and the Wakefield area.

I’m currently working on putting a website together (definitely trickier than I expected!) so that we’ll have a proper hub for donations and updates. As soon as it’s live, I’ll be sharing the link here.

In the meantime, I’d love for everyone to get behind us with support, encouragement, and donations once everything is set up. Every bit we raise will go directly into Jamie’s charity — alongside funds already collected and from future events — with the hope of making something truly special in his memory.

Let’s do this for Jamie. 💙
